The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends.


Hours vary, but a typical shift pattern is 11am to 7pm.


The salary for this full-time position starts from 22,568.00 per annum.

About The Role



About the Role



To maintain a presence at the main entrance to the hotel to assist guest arrival and departure to enhance the guest experience.


1. To be present at the main entrance to the hotel to meet and greet arriving guests, directing them as appropriate.


2. To remove luggage from vehicles and carry to the hotel reception desk.


3. To greet departing guests and assist as required.


4. To announce the arrival of guest taxis and co-ordinate the traffic flow in front of the hotel to ensure the main entrance remains clear.


5. To ensure you are knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and the amenities and attractions in the locality.


6. To provide guests with information on hotel facilities and services and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.


7. To co-ordinate valet parking.


8. To ensure the front of the hotel is presented to a high standard at all times.


9. To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.


10. To maintain the security of guest property and report any breaches.


11. To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.


12. To ensure that guest concerns, complaints and difficulties are dealt with courteously and efficiently, reporting them to the Head Concierge/Duty Manager.


13. Any other duties as required by management.

Required Criteria



A full clean UK driving licence Excellent communication and basic numeracy skills Smart well-groomed appearance is essential Must have excellent attention to detail Work well under pressure and be a team player A right to work within the United Kingdom Educated to GCSE Standard or the equivalent including English and Maths

Desired Criteria



Previous experience as a Commissionaire gained within a 4/5 hotel
