The Post

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Placement Officer to join our contract and commissioning team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in procuring individual placements for children and young people. Your responsibilities will include placement finding, maintaining accurate records of placements and financial activities, as well as contributing to market intelligence and undertaking quality assurance visits.
You will be a key player in ensuring that packages are set up and maintaining positive working relationships with service providers, you will negotiate placement costs and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Your ability to analyse and interpret information will be crucial in delivering high-quality and value-for-money services to our children in care


The Person

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. You should thrive in a busy and challenging environment, demonstrating outstanding administrative and numeracy abilities.
You will have a good understanding of the legislative, policy, and financial context of children in care and care leavers, as well as experience with social care management systems like MOSAIC and most importantly being a good team player.
Effective communication is key in this role, as you will be interacting confidently with the various stakeholders. Your collaborative approach and commitment to equality and diversity will support our mission to improve outcomes for our children in care.
