Job Description

As a Commissioning Engineer at Approved Air, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our HVAC systems are fully operational, efficient, and meet all required specifications. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will have the unique opportunity to mentor and train aspiring HVAC engineers, helping shape the future of our industry.

Key Responsibilities:



System Commissioning:

Oversee the commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, operate efficiently, and meet all design specifications and regulatory standards.

Testing and Validation:

Conduct thorough testing of HVAC systems to confirm they are functioning properly, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance.

Technical Support:

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during the installation and commissioning phases.

Documentation:

Prepare detailed reports and documentation on system performance, commissioning activities, and compliance with standards.

Mentorship and Training:

Act as a mentor to junior engineers and apprentices, sharing your knowledge and expertise to develop their skills and understanding of HVAC systems.

Leadership:

Lead by example in the field, demonstrating best practices in safety, efficiency, and technical excellence.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement in system design, installation, and commissioning processes, and work with the team to implement solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:



Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC commissioning, with a strong track record of successful projects.

Education:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in HVAC systems are highly valued.

Technical Expertise:

Deep understanding of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, and control systems. Proficiency in system testing, balancing, and performance optimization.

Mentorship:

Passion for teaching and mentoring, with the ability to inspire and guide junior engineers and apprentices.

Communication:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both clients and trainees.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions.

Leadership:

Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
