UK Engineering

Have you got the drive to provide excellence in the delivery of our installations of lighting designs? As a Commissioning Engineer you ensure that our lighting and control systems are fully operational, compliant with specifications and meet client expectations.


This role involves working on-site to commission and troubleshoot installations, liaising with contractors, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with a strong technical mindset and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Commissioning lighting control on-site training for end users and maintenance staff. Liaising with internal teams to provide feedback for continuous product and service improvement. Managing on-site issues independently and escalating problems when necessary. Representing Glamox LMS solutions to ensure they meet project specification and end-user expectations. Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions on-site. Coordinating schedules with contractors and project managers to meet deadlines. Performing system testing and verification, including demonstrating correct operation to clients. Producing commissioning reports, technical documentation, and handover documentation.

Desired Qualifications:

GCSE Maths and English or equivalent A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (preferred).

Other requirements:

Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional overnight stays.
