Driving the implementation of the commissioning and field support strategy for Armstrong Fluid Technology products and system solutions, this role entails close collaboration with project managers, engineering teams, service managers, commissioning engineers, customers and service partners. The primary focus lies in managing the delivery of the mechanical, electrical and controls commissioning activities, with a preference for candidates possessing LV electrical and controls expertise in buildings HVAC.



The role is based at our Droitwich facility, with travel requirements throughout the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:




Commissioning Responsibilities




Develop comprehensive commissioning plans and detailed checklists for Data Centre projects. Ensure all documentation complies with both client and Armstrong standards. Oversee and manage online document review processes. Coordinate the commissioning of both in-house and third-party equipment. Facilitate client Factory Witness Testing (FWT) events in a professional and organized manner. Supervise pre-commissioning activities at our facility, collaborating closely with project teams and subcontractors. Maintain and update detailed commissioning schedules while ensuring effective allocation of resources. Ensure full compliance with relevant legislative requirements and prepare site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Produce, maintain and distribute detailed commissioning schedules both product specific and factory wide to ensure adequate resourcing and space allocation Capable of managing and aligning multi discipline stakeholder teams to ensure the timely completion of commissioning activities to achieve on time delivery Ability to quickly react to issues and adapt processes to deliver favourable stakeholder outcomes



On-Site Responsibilities




Collaborate with clients to ensure commissioning activities align seamlessly with site-specific plans. Participate in client meetings Efficiently document and resolve on-site snags and defects, ensuring minimal disruption to the project. Oversee on-site commissioning processes, coordinating effectively with project teams and suppliers. Manage warranty-related issues with the support of the Armstrong team. Coordinate teams to ensure the timely completion of commissioning tasks. Address any emerging issues promptly to maintain stakeholder satisfaction and project progress



What We're Looking For





To thrive in this role, you should bring:


Education and Experience




University degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and technical knowledge. Substantial previous work experience in a similar role Substantial experience in using MS Projects, JIRA or other collaborative workflow tools Extensive knowledge of HVAC/data centre solutions and systems In depth knowledge of Autodesk BIM 360 Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 In depth understand of regulatory compliance, requirements and implementation Substantial experience of system integration and troubleshooting Extensive knowledge of project scheduling and resource management Extensive knowledge of FWT Expertise in automation of commissioning systems

Soft skills and other requirements:




Exceptional communication skills The capability to simplify complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations. Strong, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action. Strong attention to detail and highly organized. Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations. Willing to travel up to 50% of the time across EMEA region
