The Hiscox UK Change Team is the bridge between the business and the technology teams, ensuring that technology change is prioritised, defined, broken down and delivered in a way that enables the business to achieve its strategic goals, whilst also enabling the technology strategy. The Role
The Comms and Engagement Lead is a key role within the central Change team, responsible for supporting Change Managers and Project Managers in the execution of communication strategies and engagement activities.
This role involves developing and delivering effective communication plans that ensure stakeholders are informed, engaged, and supportive of change initiatives. The Comms and Engagement Lead works closely with Change LT to align communication efforts with overall change strategies.
Key Responsibilities:Communication Strategy: Develop & implement comprehensive communication strategies that support change initiatives and value stream delivery.
Content Creation: Create and write engaging and informative content for various communication channels, including emails, newsletters, gallery posts, and box meetings.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed through effective communication.
Message Alignment: Ensure that all communication messages are aligned with the Hiscox goals, values, strategy and change roadmap.
Event Coordination: Plan and execute engagement activities, such as town halls, workshops, and focus groups, to foster stakeholder involvement and support for change initiatives.
Feedback Mechanisms: Develop and implement feedback mechanisms to gather stakeholder input and measure the effectiveness of communication efforts.
Training and Support: Support Project and Change managers in developing engaging training content utilising communication practices and tools.
Performance Measurement: Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of communication and engagement activities, and continuously improve practices based on feedback and results.
Collaboration: Work closely with Change Managers/Project Managers and BA's to ensure communication efforts are integrated into overall change management plans and value stream projects.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining communication and engagement strategies and methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience:Proven experience as a communications and engagement lead in a complex, cross-functional environment.
Exceptional Communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences across various channels, ensuring clarity and impact.
Experience supporting organisational change by articulating its purpose, benefits, and impacts to drive employee and stakeholder buy-in.
Expertise in stakeholder management, particularly at the executive level, with the ability to influence and align diverse perspectives.
Experience working within transformation and project based teams, writing communications across multiple initiatives and programmes
Managing communication projects, campaigns, and events efficiently, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Experience leveraging digital platforms to enhance engagement and reach, using data analytics to optimise performance.
Proficiency in handling sensitive or urgent situations with tact, ensuring transparent and responsible communication.
Background in Insurance or another highly regulated or complex industry (e.g., finance, gov & health etc.).
