Job Introduction

Medstead CofE Primary school is looking to appoint a cheerful and optimistic person to join a well-motivated and enthusiastic school team.


The role will be to support children who are deaf with a variety of communication needs. The individual will be well supported by the class teacher and Teachers of the Deaf, who are part of the school staff and the Specialist Provision for the Deaf within the school.


The successful candidate will have;


A genuine interest in children and the ability to motivate and inspire as well as adjust tasks to meet the needs of the individual.


The enthusiasm and creativity to ensure that the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved.


Effective communication skills with the class teacher, Teacher of the Deaf, with parents and staff across the school.


A flexibility and desire to work as part of a team, committing fully to agreed school priorities, adhering to school policies and supporting Christian ethos of the school.


The willingness to "go the extra mile" in any respect to achieve the very best outcomes for the children in our care.


Medstead CofE Primary School is a successful one form entry village primary school, as part of which the Specialist Provision for the Deaf is a strength. We are looking for the right person who is willing to learn the skills, more than the skills alone.

It would be desirable to have signing experience.
