Job Description


We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications and Engagement Consultant (or Senior) to join our established, busy and well-respected Communications and Engagement team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Ideally you will be based from our London (Soho Square) office which boasts a friendly and busy atmosphere, conveniently located within the heart of Soho. We are open to other locations for the right person. You will be working alongside specialist teams across Town Planning, Masterplanning, Landscape, Graphic Design, Architecture, Development Viability and Environmental services. You will be managing and delivering comprehensive and innovative communications, public consultation and stakeholder engagement to support the delivery of projects on behalf of our prestigious client base nationwide (but predominantly across London and the South East and West). This is a great opportunity to enjoy a hands on role, delivering high quality work and strategy, whilst gaining opportunities for direct client contact and relationship building. You will be responsible for the delivery of community and wider stakeholder consultations, engagement events and the production of communications materials and reports. You will have a good understanding of the requirements for consultation, communications and engagement with a range of stakeholders, good written and verbal communication skills, efficient time management and the careful handling of client relationships. About you It is likely that you will;

  • Have strong community engagement, public speaking and events management experience;
  • Have a reasonable knowledge of local Government and the Town Planning process;
  • Have experience in consultancy or a similar commercial and professional environment;
  • Have an interest in the built environment;
  • Have good project management skills;
  • Are an effective problem solver;
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Are confident in using the Microsoft Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher);
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to travel when required;
  • Be able to attend events in the evenings and at weekends when required
