The Opportunity:




This role sits within the Enablement Chapter where we drive operational and financial effectiveness in Global Procurement (GP) by advancing talent growth and development, delivering actionable insights, fostering high engagement, and ensuring robust performance management. Our team is dedicated to enabling better outcomes and providing comprehensive support to GP leadership and chapters.


As a Communications and Engagement Manager, you will report to the Chapter Lead for Enablement. Using your specialized knowledge and in-depth expertise in communications and engagement, you will proactively identify and drive plans and approaches that positively impact GP's goals.


You will collaborate with internal procurement, finance, and other relevant colleagues to plan and deliver subject matter expertise that increases procurement's effectiveness and efficiency. You will work closely with the Senior Communications and Engagement Manager and other team members to help plan and deliver high-value activities and initiatives and embed best practices that drive forward the agenda of the broader procurement function.


As a Communications and Engagement Manager, you will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and general business/team requirements, including but not limited to:

Content Creation & Management - Plan, draft, and edit content that translates complex information into clear, concise, and engaging messages for diverse employee audiences, using channels such as: email, intranet articles, presentations, videos, and internal social media. Channel Management & Optimization - support the management and effective use of our internal communication channels (e.g., intranet, email, Google Chat). Event management: Planning, organizing, and executing events from small internal meetings to larger-scale conferences, including logistics, content, and stakeholder coordination. Campaign Support - Contribute to the planning and execution of internal communication campaigns for key initiatives (e.g., cultural initiatives, leadership announcements). Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement - Work closely with business partners to gather information, ensure consistent messaging, and provide communication support and advice to internal stakeholders as needed. Measurement & Improvement - Assist in tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of internal communication efforts. Contribute to identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions. Culture & Engagement - Identify opportunities to celebrate employee successes and milestones. Digital & AI Fluency - Leverage digital trends and platforms to boost employee engagement; utilise AI tools for content creation, personalization, and measurement; analyze digital communication metrics to optimize strategies.

Who you are:



You hold a university degree, preferably in communications, journalism, or an adjacent subject You bring 5+ years of experience in a communications and engagement-related role, preferably in life sciences and/or procurement You bring strong communication skills, including written and verbal and have experience in presentation creation, basic graphic design and multimedia editing/production You have the ability to tailor communications to various audiences and channels and have strong attention to detail You are collaborative and comfortable building rapport to work effectively with colleagues at all levels You bring strong digital and analytical skills and are confident using intranet platforms such as Google Suite and internal Social Media platforms You are open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge, while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others You are fluent in English to a Business level
