Description



The Marketing and Communications Apprentice will support the delivery of effective marketing campaigns and communication strategies that build brand awareness, engage audiences and drive business objectives. This role provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media management and internal/external communications.

This role provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media management and internal/external communications. The apprentice will work closely with the school teams to share best practices, contribute creative ideas and assist in implementing initiatives that align with the Trust and school goals



Marketing & Communications

Support the implementation of the Trust and individual school communication plans. Assist in developing and delivering marketing campaigns that promote the Trust and its schools. Create engaging written and visual content for websites, newsletters, and promotional materials. Draft press releases, blogs, and internal bulletins for various audiences.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

Manage and update school and Trust social media platforms. Schedule and monitor posts to ensure consistent engagement. Explore opportunities for paid advertising campaigns (e.g., social media, Google Ads). Monitor analytics and produce regular reports on engagement and reach.

Branding & Design

Design creative posters, leaflets, and prospectuses for schools. Ensure all communications adhere to Trust branding guidelines. Take photographs and videos or coordinate external providers for media content.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

Build positive relationships with schools, parents, and local communities. Support and manage events such as open days, taster sessions, and community activities. Liaise with school leaders and staff to source stories and distribute press releases.

Routine Tasks

Research and develop communication strategies tailored to different audience segments. Assist in creating marketing plans for each school, identifying key audiences and objectives. Proofread communications to maintain high standards and brand consistency. Ensure compliance with GDPR and safeguarding guidelines in all marketing activities. Schedule and publish social media posts across Trust and school platforms. Update website content and ensure accuracy of information. Maintain photo and video libraries for marketing use. Monitor and record engagement metrics for social media and websites. Prepare and distribute weekly or monthly newsletters. Respond to basic enquiries related to marketing and communications. Keep marketing materials (posters, leaflets, prospectuses) up to date. Assist with event logistics and promotional activities.

General

To be aware of the Trust's duty of care in relation to staff, students and visitors and to always comply with the health and safety policy. Some working flexibility will be required to meet the demands of this post. To establish and maintain positive, constructive, and professional working relationships with staff, visitors, students, parents, and other professionals of the Trust. Act in a courteous way at all times in communications with both colleagues and all stakeholders. To contribute to whole School and Trust events as and when required. To carry out any other reasonable duties or requests of your Line Manager and/or Head of School, that are in keeping with this post or as may be determined from time to time by the Operations Manager, Head of School or CEO.

Entry requirements



Maths and English GCES at Grade C/4 or above

You will be completing Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprentice



As a Multi-Channel Marketer Apprentice, you help with planning, creating and implementing, impactful marketing campaigns across digital platforms. As part of the Marketing team, the multi-channel marketers will contribute to the implementation of the Marketing strategy and plans. You will be responsible for delivering day-to-day marketing activities across a multitude of platforms, channels and systems that are essential to the Marketing function and activities of the company.

The Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship includes an end point assessment. This is done in the final part of the apprenticeship and is how the apprentice is judged on their learning and will include:



Producing a written Report Portfolio of evidence based work Presentation and Q&A Professional Discussion based on Portfolio
