Summary of the role

We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Communications Assistant to join the new Nature and Climate Impact Team, led by Professor Gail Whiteman, the inaugural Hoffmann Impact Professor for Nature and Climate.

The Nature and Climate Impact (NCI Team) is focused on delivering impact across key sectors--Food, Consumer Packaged Goods/Electronics, Digital Technologies, and Communications--by co-creating strategic campaigns and communications that support low-carbon and nature-positive transformations. We work collaboratively across the University of Exeter and with international partners to build sector-specific impact pathways, with the ultimate goal of accelerating action at scale before the end of the decade.

To achieve this, we are recruiting a Communications Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality, audience-focused communications that drive engagement with our research and strategic priorities.

You will report to the Senior Communications Impact Fellow and play a key role in developing compelling written materials, coordinating content across digital platforms, and supporting stakeholder engagement. You will help shape and deliver clear, accessible messaging that communicates our ideas, proposals, and initiatives with purpose and impact. Your work will span briefing notes, blogs, social media, newsletters, and support for toolkits and visual content.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, impact-focused team working on one of the most urgent issues of our time.

If you are passionate about using communications to accelerate climate and nature action--and want to contribute to a bold, evidence-led movement for systems change--please apply.

Please ensure you read the and Person Specification for full details of this role.

We will be reviewing applications for this role as they come in, and reserve the right to close the role early if we receive suffient applications before the closing date.
