Role Introduction
Looking for your first role in Communications? Look over here!
The award-winning Communications Team at Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH) is looking for a skilled person to join their team on a permanent basis.
Our entry level role will provide insight and experience of working in an NHS communications role and although experience of communications practices, gained through relevant study or previous work experience is beneficial, we're also looking for someone with tons of tenacity, a 'can do' attitude and an ability to balance conflicting tasks. You'll be a person who has a passion for promoting community health and social care and who has ideas and inspiration for amplifying the patient voice. If this sounds like you, please read on.
As part of the busy but supportive communications team, your day will include scheduling, managing the communications in-box and supporting a wide range of activities aimed at both internal and external audiences. You'll be involved in developing PR and marketing resources, including social media content and, with appropriate guidance and support, you will also provide general communications advice to the teams and services we work with. To help broaden your knowledge and sharpen your skills there will be opportunities to lead (with guidance) on smaller projects and campaigns within the team too. There's a lot to do, but a lot to gain from the broad range of activities you will experience.
You'll be joining a busy us at a time of extensive NHS transformation. We're looking for someone who gets their energy from working to a quick pace, who is flexible and comfortable working with change.
You'll be able to work under your own steam with support and guidance always available from the Head of Communications and the wider team. So, if you're a people person, with an ability to focus on and deliver a range of communications priorities as part of a friendly team of professionals, please look at our job description and person specification attached.
