Our Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach department is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Communications Assistant to join its Information, Marketing and Communications team.


About the Role


This is a key public-facing role which offers you the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of digital communications and develop your skills in web editing, social media planning and execution, as well as design, content creation, and e-newsletter campaigns. The Communications Assistant (one of two) takes the lead in responding in a timely, accurate and efficient manner to individual enquiries from potential and current undergraduate applicants and their supporters from all over the world. As an empathetic communicator with sound judgement, the post holder will be expected know when to escalate concerns and consult on responses. Operating within a fast-paced and ever-changing digital environment, UAO's communications team needs to be agile and proactively seeks opportunities for improvement and development.

About You


The post would suit a skilled communicator who is keen to learn and take advantage of the many opportunities for career development available to Oxford University staff.

A proven and very high standard of both spoken and written English is essential.

You should be adaptable and resilient and enjoy working both collaboratively and independently.
