The Role
As a Communication Coordinator, this post will help make sure that all our external content (online and in publications) is clear, relevant and up to date. The Communications Department provides an integrated service to the organisation, delivering activity across a range of functions including media relations, stakeholder engagement, content, publications and internal communications. The post holder will help support these different functions to deliver planned and coordinated activity.
The role will primarily be helping the organisation to update its website and publication content. This will entail working with the wider team developing these changes and then making the amendments to web pages and publications. In doing so the post holder will need to maintain a high level of accuracy and checking.
Core Accountabilities
Business planning reporting and tracking of the team's work. Compiling regular reports for senior management on monthly achievements
Providing active support for colleagues working on major projects - ranging from helping to arrange events to liaising with contractors
Supporting colleagues across the department in handling external responses and liaising with other internal teams
Working with the wider team to develop and implement changes to web pages and publications
Making amendments to website content and publications while maintaining high accuracy standards
Ensuring all external content (online and in publications) is clear, relevant and up to date
About You
Minimum essential requirements for the role: We are keen to hear from administrators who have worked within a fast-paced office environment with a great interest in a career within communications
You'll be confident to present information clearly, translating technical information into a form that can be digested by a non-expert audience and have a great eye for detail
You'll have good written, verbal communications and organisational and planning skills
Excellent listening and facilitating skills
Excellent attention to detail
Experience of working with website technologies and content management tools
Skilled in the use of standard Microsoft products
Able to multitask and prioritise work schedules
Desirable skills for the role: If you've worked in a communications team before that's great but not essential
Experience of, or an ambition to work within integrated communications
Experience of, or an ambition to work with content and channels
Additional Information
For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.

Relocation & Property
The CAA will be relocating from Aviation House (Our Gatwick Office) to new premises in a few years' time. Our move is driven by strategic, operational and environmental considerations.
We will be moving to a new local home, up to a 15-mile radius of Aviation House, to minimise disruption for our valued colleagues and customers.
We are now working with colleagues and visitors to understand what we need in our new office, before we start our property search. We will sell Aviation House and land, vacate the site and move to new premises, but we do not expect to move before 2028
