The Company



seven is a RIBA Chartered practice formed in May 2006 by the current practice Directors. Its team of 20 deliver projects across the UK from three studios in Harrogate, Manchester and Conwy. The practice is focused on creating exceptional environments for end users, by carefully listening to and understanding briefs and providing innovative design solutions. Particular areas of expertise have been developed in managing complex, multi-stakeholder clients; creating flexible design solutions to meet evolving client needs; renewing and creating social and economic value from existing and Listed Buildings and the integration a sustainable design approach.

Investment in specialist skills such as Conservation, BIM, Passivhaus and Low Carbon Assessment qualifications provide in-house expertise to integrate contextual, technical and environmental principles into responsive and responsible design solutions. The practice portfolio covers a wide range of building types from schools and colleges to community sports and youth clubs to hotels to offices to laboratories to retirement homes and residential.

seven's quality management system meets the ISO 9001 Quality Standard and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard and the practice has SMAS certification. We are a member of the 'Architects Declare UK' movement and committed to reducing our impact and carbon footprint. We are proud to have Planet Mark certification and are one of only a handful of architects in the north of England to be a Certified B Corps company, the gold standard certification in social, environmental responsibility.

The Role


This is a great opportunity to join a team of creative professionals who deliver architecture which_

_ We do this well, but we need someone to help us tell our story, shape our brand and win more opportunities for us to make a difference. The role is an office based one, from the Harrogate Studio but will manage marketing for the whole practice.

You would work closely with the practice Directors on all aspects of marketing. Duties would include

Preparation of brochures and promotional material to showcase our work

Develop and maintain a library of bid content, CVs and Case Studies Management of the practice's website and social media content A lead role in the renewal of the website in the next few months Research, identification, coordination and submission of bids for new work Monitor any relevant industry Awards and assist in the compilation of submissions Development and management of a marketing database Development and management of the BCorp Certification and practice culture Opportunity to get involved in other areas of business management in support of the Directors

The Person


We are looking for a well presented, outgoing and enthusiastic individual interested in working with a team of design professionals. The role would suit a creative individual able to use their initiative and expertise to gather and present our work and stories in a compelling and consistent way across a range of media. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients and external consultants Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling and concise copy with a consistent tone Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite Experience and skills in preparing bid documentation, promotional material and communications to a high standard Experience and skills in managing social media and website content Excellent organizational and time management skills, with an ability to multi-task and manage deadlines and priorities

Qualifications and Experience



Minimum of 5 years related experience working in a similar role in a UK office, preferably within the professional services sector. A Degree Level qualification related to Marketing, Communications or English
