We have created an exciting new role for a Communications Manager to join the business owning and shaping the communication strategy, the role will manage internal and external comms, whilst working with an external PR agency.
Reporting into the People Director this role will see you partnering with key stakeholders across the TG Jones business, creating compelling, engaging communications to support the business and its colleagues in driving the culture.
You will be a strong brand ambassador, building, strengthening and protecting the employer brand internally and externally across all channels.
What you will be doing
An expert advisor in internal communications for TG Jones
Write all internal communications to deliver compelling communications that support our strategy, direction and areas of business focus
Work with multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders to deliver regular updates, webinars and messaging to the whole business
Create business critical and company newsletter communications
Drive creativity and innovation through our communication channels including social media
Work with our external communications agency supporting our external messaging and manage any local press office queries
Create new communication methods to ensure our colleagues in stores and support centres are all engaged and informed
Involvement in company events, including annual awards, conferences, Christmas and summer celebrations
Ensure all external and internal messaging, social media and design consistently reflects and promotes our brand and culture.
Who we are looking for
Extensive experience in internal communications / people engagement
Experience of external communications and working with an external PR agency
Experience of shaping the internal narrative within a fast paced and evolving business
Excellent stakeholder management with a high touch, collaborative, and communicative approach and the confidence to challenge thinking
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent writing / creative skills with experience of using Canva and similar packages
Direct experience of working with senior management; able to provide advice to senior leaders and adept at building trust quickly
Able to think logically and creatively to find the best way to solve problems and get things done
Proactive and able to prioritise to deliver in a fast-paced, high workload environment
High energy, highly motivated and self-directed
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a flexible approach to support on any areas which require focus
