We are now seeking an experienced Communications Manager to join our small, busy team of skilled communications professionals who have experience across different communication disciplines, including internal and external communication, digital, social media, design, press, crisis management and events.
Communications is a corporate function in UKSBS and touches on almost every activity whether it's a programme or project, storytelling through our digital channels, a corporate event or activity or supporting change for us or our clients. We develop and design impactful communications to support and engage our people and build our external reputation to our current and potential clients, partners and suppliers.
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
Lead the development of a data driven, integrated communications strategy that is linked to the overall UKSBS Communications strategy ensuring clear, timely and accurate delivery in line with the programme requirements and UKSBS' business plan
Act as a key interface between the business and UKSBS Communications team to ensure alignment of key messages
Provide communications business partnering advice to support the business milestones to key audiences including UKSBS Head of Communications and senior leaders in a matrix environment
Lead the creation and development of impactful communications material, focusing on the impact of change and development of UKSBS' external reputation to internal and external audiences
Use data and insight to evaluate activities to continually improve communications delivery
Monitor key developments in the shared services sector generally, identifying opportunities and risks that may affect our business
Understand and influence the perspectives of stakeholders and other colleagues in line with UKSBS' business plan and the delivery of programme requirements
Support the Head of Communications with the general running of the Communications function, including line management and deputising when necessary
Act as brand ambassador for UKSBS
To do this role well, you will possess the following:
Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering successful strategic communications campaigns with a clear understanding of evidence-based insight to inform strategy and channel selection including digital channels
Experience of leading on the use of digital and social media to engage staff and all other partners
Demonstrable experience of leading high-profile communications in complex, multi stakeholder environments
Highly effective communicator and presenter, with the ability to build trust and advise audiences at all levels
Excellent strategic planning skills supporting the delivery of corporate, programme, project and business change communications
Expert at senior level stakeholder engagement and building effective relationships/influencing.
Experience of working in an ambiguous environment
Working effectively in cross functional teams
Understanding and application of data driven communications
Experience in leading, managing and developing a team
Experience of web publishing using content management systems
In return for your skills and experience, we can offer you flexible and remote working options for a 37hr week (full time) with start and finish times between 8am - 6pm, or part time hours to suit.
