Communications Officer (cardiff)

Cardiff, United Kingdom

Job Description

We're on the brink of a historic breakthrough. In Cardiff, the Green Party has the people, the passion, and the infrastructure to elect our first Senedd members. This role will be at the heart of the most exciting Green Party election campaign in 2026.
You will oversee the campaign's day-to-day press and social media operation. You will work closely with Wales Green Party leader Anthony Slaughter, and Tessa Marshall, our 2nd target candidate to build up and expand their public profiles.
An election of this scale, across two Westminster constituencies requires a strong air campaign to get our candidates and our messages into the media and showing up on social media feeds more than any other party. You will have experience in a range of external communications, building and maintaining strong relationships with both traditional and non-traditional media outlets as well as the experience to plan and deliver a bold and engaging social media advertising strategy.
You will thrive in fast-paced environments, be flexible, quick-thinking, decisive, and have good political antennae.
