Job Description
Creating and implementing all external communications strategies across corporate; conference and exhibition; sport and entertainment markets to manage the company\'s reputation, promote the organisation regionally, nationally and internationally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex stakeholder relationships
- Leading the Senior Management Team and board members on all external and internal strategic communications decisions - ensuring all communication channels are consistent, effective and high quality
- Working alongside key city partners such as Liverpool City Council and Marketing Liverpool as well as national organisations such as Visit Britain to raise the profile of the destination and to attract potential business to the city and to the UK
- Devising and implementing targeted marketing and PR campaigns around city-wide events such as the Netball World Cup from bid submission in 2014 to event delivery in 2019. Ticket sales exceeded targets with 112,000 visitors over 10 days
The successful candidate should be someone with a passion for Liverpool who can tell the city\'s story across different platforms for varied audiences. They will be a positive and proactive person with significant PR experience, used to identifying stories and liaising with the media, be a talented communicator with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. Well networked and collaborative in their approach, the successful candidate will enjoy nurturing connections on behalf of the organisation.
