Newcastle Heating & Plumbing is a leading specialist in refurbishing boiler parts, including circuit boards and electronic components, and selling high-quality refurbished parts online across the UK.

We are expanding our team and looking for a Communications & Technical Content Specialist to help us build customer trust, strengthen our online presence, and communicate clearly and professionally with our customers, partners, and the wider industry.

About the Role

This is a unique role combining public relations, marketing, and technical communication. You will become the voice of our brand, ensuring customers fully understand the quality, safety, and reliability of our refurbished boiler components.

Your journalism background will help you tell our story clearly and professionally, while your understanding of electrical systems (such as PCBs and boiler electronics) will allow you to explain technical information accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & Customer Trust

Create clear, trustworthy communication about refurbished boiler parts, safety standards, and company processes. Prepare public statements, announcements, and responses to customer queries. Build and maintain a positive brand reputation across online platforms.
Technical Content Creation

Write product descriptions for refurbished boiler parts, including PCBs, sensors, pumps, valves, and control units. Produce technical guides, FAQs, troubleshooting articles, and "How it works" content. Translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand language for customers.
Marketing & Brand Growth

Develop blogs, newsletters, and social-media posts to drive traffic and build trust. Create educational content (e.g., "Boiler PCB faults explained" or "How we refurbish parts"). Support marketing campaigns for new product lines and seasonal demand.
Customer Communication

Assist with writing professional responses to reviews, complaints, or issues. Create consistent messaging for the website, email updates, and customer notifications.
Industry Engagement

Draft press releases and communications for partnerships, certifications, or company milestones. Help strengthen our relationships with suppliers, engineers, and trade professionals.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Basic understanding of electrical or electronic systems (e.g., PCBs, wiring, sensors). Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-experts. Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable

Experience in PR, marketing, or technical writing. Knowledge of boiler components, heating systems, or plumbing products. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, SEO, or content marketing. Interest in engineering, refurbishment processes, or sustainability.
