18.5 hours per week over three days. Hybrid working based at our Central Dewsbury office.

We're looking for a part time Communities Officer to join our Neighbourly Places Team, where you'll play a key role in amplifying the customer voice, shaping services, and supporting vibrant and inclusive community engagement across our neighbourhoods.


Working closely with our Community Co-ordinator and Community Housing Officers, you'll help co-produce solutions with tenants and stakeholders, support local groups, and facilitate events and activities that directly influence service design and improvement.

What You'll Be Doing?



Organising and supporting community events, focus groups, and tenant activities using co-production methods. Encouraging and enabling a diverse range of tenants to get involved and influence services. Supporting the formation and running of community groups and "single issue" meetings. Creating engaging content for social media and newsletters related to community involvement. Managing administrative tasks including minute taking, event planning, customer records, and monitoring engagement activity. Administering tenant expenses and small community grants.

What We're Looking For:



Experience of engaging with diverse communities and delivering responsive, customer-focused services. Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and deliver inclusive, accessible events. Confident communication and interpersonal skills - able to engage with people from all walks of life. Competency in using Microsoft Office tools and maintaining accurate records. A good understanding of community engagement tools, particularly co-production methods. Willingness and ability to travel across Connect locations as required. A full driving licence and a good standard of literacy and numeracy are essential for this role.
