As a CADO, you'll be out in the community, meeting members of the public, attending local forums and public meetings, and forging strong relationships across diverse groups. You'll play a key role in identifying and connecting with seldom-heard communities, ensuring their voices are represented in local policing. Through community impact assessments, you'll help shape responses to incidents with cultural sensitivity and insight. You'll also work closely with our Independent Advisory Group (IAG), bringing community perspectives into the heart of operational decision-making. You will have relevant and recent knowledge or experience of working with diversity issues along with a proven ability to manage a complex workload and work on your own initiative. Proven IT skills are essential together with the ability to learn new systems as required. You must have the capability to travel to different locations across the Force.
As part of the Thames Valley Police family you will enjoy a fantastic range of benefits including 24 days annual leave per annum, pro-rata for part time (plus Bank Holidays), flexible working conditions, a wide range of lifestyle discounts, career development opportunities and have the option to join a local government pension scheme.
