Not So Secret Book Clubs
: fun half day events that take place (mainly) outdoors. We also bring our
Not So Secret Book Club
to various HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) pop-ups and other community events, but need to build events capacity.
We're looking for a confident, organised individual who can help us develop our outreach across the county. As our
Community and Schools Outreach Officer
, you will play a key role in planning and delivering events, supporting volunteers and managing resources (like books and materials), whilst building strong partnerships with local schools and community organisations.

23,000 per annum pro rata
Place of work: Remote / home-based with
regular travel
to various locations across Gloucestershire (mileage paid)
Main duties and responsibilities:
? Develop and maintain partnerships with family hubs, schools and other local organisations.
? Co-ordinate and support volunteers at school holiday events (Not So Secret Book Club, HAF).
? Plan and resource events during the school holidays, including sourcing materials and managing logistics.
? Track and report book donations (to schools and at events).
? Help to organise and co-ordinate volunteer meet-ups and fundraising events.
Maintain a calendar of events, including volunteer requirements.
? Help to organise and co-ordinate 'Team 10K' fundraiser events in schools.
? Represent Read With Me and help to raise awareness of our work.
Key skills and experience required:
? Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative.
? Confident, outgoing and comfortable working with children of all ages.
? Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
? Flexible - some weeks will involve more hours than others, particularly in the school holidays.
? Physically fit - will involve lifting books and resources, setting up and tidying away events.
? Access to own transport and willingness to travel are essential.
