The Opportunity



The Community & Wellbeing Manager is responsible for supporting the delivery of BRCC's Social Prescribing service, supporting the Head of Community & Wellbeing Department lead, and leading a cluster of Community Wellbeing Champions.

This role is for maternity cover for 9 months starting in January 2026. This role will report to the Director of Operations who will have oversight of these responsibilities and provide support to this role. This post is in-person at Cardington office and can be from 24 hpw up to 35 hpw.

The Community Referral Social Prescribing Service is an established service covering Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough. This role will support the delivery of the service and complete data monitoring reports to our funders.

Who we are looking for



The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a range of interpersonal, team working and problem solving skills, as well as a high level of IT literacy. You will have a strong commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people, and will have previously helped people to address their life goals and needs.

You will be experienced in case load management and have the skills to prioritise your workload and support staff with case load supervision

Recent experience of working with adults in our mental health services will be essential.

You will be able to 'hit the ground running' and be able to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast moving environment. You will have a full driving licence and be prepared to attend in-person meetings.
