You will be responsible for assisting our service user's with daily living tasks, promoting independence and supporting them to maintain a healthy lifestyle and mental wellbeing.
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in following their care plans and achieving their personal goals.
Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
Administer medication as per care plans and under supervision when required.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental well-being.
Drive residents to appointments or social outings when necessary.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of living spaces, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
A valid driving licence and the use of your own vehicle is required for this post
A caring attitude with a passion for helping others is essential.
Ability to work flexible hours, including two weekends in the month and holidays if required.
