Overview


The Community Care Worker plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes or community settings. This position is ideal for those who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, including those with dementia and other health challenges. The Community Care Worker will work closely with clients to develop and implement care plans that address their unique needs, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.

Duties



Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, regularly reviewing and updating them as necessary. Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams. Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients.

Skills



Previous experience in senior care, dementia care, or hospice care is highly desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to drive safely and responsibly, holding a valid driving licence. Competence in first aid practices is an advantage. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.

Pay: 13.10-14.10 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 60 per week
