As a Community Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals in their homes or community settings. Duties
Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with meal preparation and dietary needs.
Assist with medication management and reminders as needed.
Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those with dementia.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety of both the client and yourself.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Skills
Experience in dementia care is highly desirable.
Strong ability to provide patient care with empathy and respect.
Proficient in first aid practices to ensure client safety.
Capability to manage childcare responsibilities when applicable.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and their families.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of care routines.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while providing high-quality care.
