Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary to maintain their independence and dignity.

Typical shift pattern 7am - 2.30pm and 4pm - 10 pm

Must be able to work alternative weekends and some evenings ( mornings are not essential)

Bonus scheme(criteria must be met)
Cover bonus

Basic hourly rate from Nov 1st 12.80 weekday, 13.80 weekends (no NVQ)

Enhancements for NVQ holders

Bonusextra 75p per hour (criteria included but not limited to: must of completed all mandatory training, read policies, no sickness)
Potentially earning 13.55 weekday and 14.55 weekends

Time and half bank holidays - from 19.20 per hour

Double time Christmas and news years day - from 25.60 per hour

PLUS:

40p per mile travel time

NMW paid travel time

Travel time and fuel paid to and from first and last visit and between calls.

PLUS:

Extra 50p per hour for cover at notice

Extra 1 per hour for short notice cover

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions Offer companionship and emotional support to clients Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed

Experience

Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

Assisted living or nursing home environments Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or hospice care settings Home care or caregiving roles that involve direct patient interaction First aid training is a plus, along with a valid driving licence for transportation duties Experience is an advantage, however full training is provided to the right candidate.

Pay: 12.80-26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
