We are recruiting for Care Workers to join our dynamic Home Care team. We work across Walker, Walkergate, Byker, Jesmond, Heaton and Wallsend and the service runs seven days a week all year round from 7.00am - 11.00pm. As a regulated Home Care provider, the Care Quality Commission has rated us 'Outstanding'.
Our Care Workers are an integral part of our community and play an essential role in helping people continue to live independently in their own homes for as long as is possible.
The role
As a Care Worker you will visit Service Users in their homes to undertake a range of tasks as outlined in the individual personal care plan which has been developed with the Service User.
The range of tasks you will undertake will vary from visit to visit, but will include activities such as support with personal care, administration of medication, preparation of food, support with domestic tasks, shopping and/or accompanying service users engage in social activities in the community.
Ideally, you will have some previous experience in working in care although this is not essential as training is provided. However, it is essential that you demonstrate a commitment to working with vulnerable people and that you can provide evidence of how you would treat people with dignity, respect, patience and kindness. You must have excellent communication skills, be dependable, punctual and provide high standards of care at all times.
All new recruits are required to undertake a competency-based induction programme and ongoing training is provided for all staff as part of continuing professional development.
