Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar environments. Full training is provided for this role so we would accept candidates without any experience. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and support necessary for their well-being.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalised care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities. Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to support clients with specific challenges. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or care manager. Engage in light housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean environment for clients. Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge, particularly in areas such as dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid procedures and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and other specialised patient needs is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation responsibilities., but we are able to offer non driver posts in some areas. Pay: 12.21-18.32 per hour
