As a care assistant you will be responsible for following individual care plans and providing excellent personal care and domestic support to

male and female clients

. Experience is not necessary as we provide online training and shadowing shifts with a senior care worker.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal care. Provide support in nursing home and assisted living environments, ensuring a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Engage with clients to promote social interaction and emotional well-being. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients with specific needs. Assist in heavy lifting tasks when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Provide patient care to individuals with varying levels of dependency, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in behaviour or condition to the supervising staff.

Experience

Previous experience in a care setting such as nursing homes or assisted living is preferred. Familiarity with patient care practices and techniques is essential. Experience in childcare or working with individuals requiring behaviour management is an advantage. Knowledge of dementia care principles is beneficial but not mandatory. A caring attitude and strong communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
