Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings and possess the ability to drive to clients' locations. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of seniors and individuals requiring specialised care, including hospice care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life. Administer first aid when necessary and monitor clients' health conditions. Perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility and assistance. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort at all times. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or care manager. Drive to various locations as needed to provide care services.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record. Certification in first aid is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks associated with client care. Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach towards senior care. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required. A commitment to providing high-quality care while respecting the dignity of all clients.
