The Community Care Worker plays a vital role in supporting individuals within the community to lead fulfilling lives. Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients in meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
Help clients manage their medications and attend medical appointments.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
Facilitate social activities and encourage participation in community events.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the supervising staff.
Mentor and supervise junior staff or volunteers as required, fostering a supportive environment for growth and development.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of clients and work schedules.
A valid driving licence may be advantageous for community outreach roles.
