We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals in need within the community. As a Community Care Worker, you will be responsible for delivering personalised care that promotes independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals. Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours. Facilitate social interaction and companionship to enhance emotional well-being. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client conditions to appropriate personnel.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:

Previous experience in assisted living or similar environments is beneficial. Knowledge of first aid practices is an advantage to ensure client safety. Experience in patient care or nursing roles will be considered an asset. A valid driving license is required for transporting clients as part of the role or a mode of transport to assist you going to clients to clients.
