COMMUNITY COACH, IPSWICH TOWN FOUNDATION, IPSWICH, PART TIME, 30 HOURS PER WEEK



Ipswich Town Foundation is currently looking to recruit a part-time Community Coach to inspire and engage primary school children in physical activity and sport through high-quality coaching, promoting healthy lifestyles, skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment of physical education.

The role serves as a positive role model and to improve physical education provision and extracurricular sporting opportunities for young people.

The role requires fostering positive working relationships with local primary schools and other stakeholders within the local educational system.

Additionally, the role encompasses delivering 'Open Access' football. Furthermore, a holistic understanding of the Foundation's departments and programmes is required, with cross-programme delivery an expectation.

The role includes 2 hours of weekend work each week.

The individual will meet high standards of Ipswich Town Foundation and deliver an outstanding experience to participants in a safe and fun environment.

This is a part-time role requiring flexibility based on 30 hours per week.

Role Specific Responsibilities



Deliver high-quality PE and 'Open Access' sessions in line with the national curriculum, school and Ipswich Town Foundation objectives. Effectively plan, prepare and self-evaluate sessions. Run high-quality extra-curricular clubs in-line with the school and Ipswich Town Foundation's objectives. Act as a positive role model at all times, encouraging teamwork, respect and inclusion. Promote increased participation in local schools in the wider community, including Ipswich Town Foundation tournaments and initiatives. Ensure comprehensive understanding and compliance with safeguarding protocols of the school and Ipswich Town Foundation. Work cohesively across programmes at the Foundation. Two hours of weekend work per week. The role includes working on the Club's Matchday FanZone three times a season and the Foundation's annual Foundation Fixture.

Ipswich Town Foundation Responsibilities



Adhere to all policies and procedures including safeguarding, Health & Safety, Behaviour Management, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Data Protection, and Quality Assurance and follow all policies and procedures within the staff handbook. To follow and work by all procedures in accordance with the Ipswich Town Foundation and Ipswich Town Football Club. To maintain a professional attitude and appearance. Be an ambassador for the Ipswich Town Foundation. To report to your Line Manager and attend Ipswich Town Foundation staff meetings as requested. Any other duties deemed necessary by your Line Manager or a member of the SLT.
