ECL is working on behalf of Essex County Council to deliver 'Connect to Work' for people who face additional barriers to employment, as part of the Government's new 'Get Britain Working' initiative.
The Community Connector will provide end-to-end support for individuals seeking volunteering, work experience, and/or community outcomes, using a person-centred approach to ensure individuals are matched based on skills and experience. You will be completing community profile assessments, providing support and/or job coaching, and working closely with organisations offering voluntary opportunities.
You'll use your initiative, outstanding communication skills, and pro-active problem-solving ability to create pathways for our customers and ensure customer-centric outcomes are delivered in line with contractual targets.
About You
To be considered for the role of Community Connector, you need:
A full and valid driving licence with own vehicle to travel
Experience of delivering to an employment service or social care contract
Experience working in a target-driven environment in line with KPIs
To hold, or be working towards, a Supported Employment Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent)
Experience of directly supporting individuals into employment or volunteering
Adaptable communication skills to work with both individuals and community/voluntary-based organisations
This position will require regular travel across Essex, including Southend and Thurrock.
