Community Connector Online Directory Officer (Furness for You)
Salary - 27,507 FTE
Part-Time - 25 hours per week
Fixed Term until June 2026
Base - Ulverston or Kendal. Flexible working, in terms of both location and hours of work.
There may be occasions when office working will be required at other offices including Carlisle, Kendal or Ulverston.

Cumbria CVS is seeking a proactive Community Connector - Online Directory Officer to lead on the development and promotion of the Furness for You website -- a central resource showcasing services, activities, and opportunities across the Furness area.
In this dynamic and outward-facing role, you'll be the main contact for the Furness for You website, working closely with local organisations, statutory services, and community groups. You'll gather and manage content, keep information up to date, and actively promote the site as a tool for connection, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Key responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with VCFSE organisations, statutory services, and local partners.
Manage content on the Furness for You WordPress website, ensuring it is accurate, engaging, and useful.
Promote the website via social media, local networks, and in-person events.
Act as a connector between Cumbria CVS and local communities, signposting opportunities and sharing insights.
Support the visibility and voice of the third sector in Furness.
Work with partners, developers, and internal teams to keep the project running smoothly.

You will have:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence using digital platforms, particularly website content management (WordPress experience desirable).
Experience of working with community groups, charities or public sector services.
A collaborative, organised and proactive approach.
Knowledge of the Furness area and its communities.
