We are looking for a clinician with a positive approach and a can-do attitude who can support and manage change able to work both independently and as part of a Team. You will support patients in a variety of community settings including out-patient clinics, home visits and Care Homes. We provide training and education across a variety of settings for Nursing and Allied HealthCare Professional colleagues.
Specialist areas will include Home Enteral Tube Feeding. Sound written and verbal communication skills are essential, ideally experience in staff and performance management, and with interest in ongoing CPD and learning. The service operates from several sites across Powys so the ability to travel across the area is essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post and English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
We are happy to offer this role as a development post for band 5 candidates, to support development into a Band 6 position. Upon starting the role we will agree a training and development plan and undertake a 12-24 month training programme to obtain the relevant competencies, qualifications and /or experience for the role. The Dietetics service provides support for adults and children across Powys striving to deliver the best, evidence-based care for patients within AHP Public Health Strategic Framework for Wales.
Dietetics has input into weekly clinics and the following services; eating disorders, renal unit, home enteral feeding (HEF), diabetes, obesity and public health. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead and colleagues to run clinics, support HEF patients, and make domiciliary visits as needed
