About the Role



The Rainbow Care Group - Bromley provides safe, meaningful, and community-based dementia day care. We are expanding and need a

Community Engagement Officer

to grow our service by building local relationships and converting enquiries into Taster Days.

You will be the

face of the organisation in the community

while also ensuring families who enquire online or via referral are supported and onboarded effectively.

Key Responsibilities



Community Engagement:



Attend dementia cafes, GP surgeries, social prescribers' meetings, and community events to represent The Rainbow Care Group. Build and maintain relationships with referral sources that generate regular client interest.

Lead Conversion:



Respond promptly to Facebook, website, and referral enquiries from families. Book and coordinate free taster sessions, guiding families through enrolment. Follow up with leads to ensure conversion to free taster days.

Networking & Promotion:



Promote the service at open days, community events, and networking opportunities. Distribute information leaflets and raise awareness in the local community.

Admin & Reporting:



Maintain accurate records of leads, referrals, conversions, and engagement activities. Provide weekly updates to directors on progress and results.

Requirements



Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills Previous experience in community engagement, healthcare, social care, or business development (preferred but not essential) Confident engaging with families, professionals, and community groups Owns a valid UK driving licence and has access to a car (mileage reimbursed) Basic computer literacy (email, Facebook, spreadsheets) Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Targets



Minimum 5-10 community engagements/visits per week Prompt follow-up of all online and referral enquiries Conversion of enquiries into Free Taster Days.
