Are you passionate about bringing people together and supporting thriving communities? bpha is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Community Engagement Regeneration Officer to play a key role in the regeneration of Greyfriars, Bedford, and other development projects.
As Community Engagement Regeneration Officer you will be
Delivering community engagement for regeneration projects, with a focus on Greyfriars, Bedford.
Bringing people together to address important local issues and co-create regeneration proposals.
Engaging and consulting with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Gathering and sharing community and stakeholder views to influence positive change.
Organising and representing bpha at public events, liaising with political stakeholders, local authorities, and partner agencies.
Supporting customers through the regeneration process, including helping with moves to new homes.
Maintaining accurate records of all engagement activity.
Working flexibly, including some evenings and weekends (with flexi-time arrangements).
What We're Looking For:
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to build strong relationships and earn trust at all levels.
Creative approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
Good organisation, planning, and project management skills.
Experience in community engagement, regeneration, or social housing (desirable).
Ability to work with diverse communities, including those experiencing social or economic disadvantage.
Physically fit and able to meet the operational demands of the role.
Patience, perseverance, and a positive, motivated attitude.
Additional Information
This is a remote working position (home based), with regular travel to Greyfriars/and or the office or other locations - with a flexible approach where you can cover other areas
Must be able to drive and have the use of the car for work
Happy to work evenings and weekends if necessary to attend events and meetings.
