Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, inclusive, and enthusiastic Football Coach to lead our weekly Pan Disability Football sessions. This role is perfect for someone who believes in the power of sport to bring people together and who is committed to creating a safe, enjoyable, and accessible football environment for players with a range of disabilities.

The coach will plan and deliver engaging football activities suitable for players of all abilities and needs, ensuring everyone is included, challenged, and supported.

Your main responsibilities:



Deliver 6 hours coaching hours across our disability projects per week. Plan high quality sessions with a focus on self-reflection. Establish constructive relationships with participants and interact with them according to individual needs. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all participants. Demonstrate a commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults in line with Foundation's policies. Complete all admin tasks associated with the role and all CPD requirements.

Essential:



FA Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football qualification (or equivalent). Experience working with individuals with disabilities (in sport, education, or care settings). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A positive and patient attitude, with the ability to adapt and think on your feet. Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in sport. Valid FA Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children certifications. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting). Have empathy, be supportive and encouraging to developing others. Have an open / growth mind-set. Be an honest, clear communicator. Willingness to learn and meet the needs of our participants and groups.

Desirable:



FA Level 2 Qualification in Coaching Football (or working towards) Level 2 NGB or UKCC Sports Coaching Qualification in another sport e.g. Multi-Sport FA Mentoring Adults course Hold a valid UK Driving Licence
