Overview of Role:
To support the fundraising department to maximise income and deliver all aspects of the community fundraising programme while supporting the wider team with general enquiries for all fundraising activities.
Key Tasks:
Under the supervision of the Community Fundraiser the Fundraising Assistant will support the delivery of the community fundraising programme within budget, meeting agreed targets and objectives in line with the overall strategy and be responsible for/to:
Support development of community fundraising programme to maximise income and align with fundraising strategy through research, effective and constructive feedback and preparing reports
Support Community Fundraiser to prepare data for feasibility reports, plans for each event and post-activity evaluation
Facilitate preparation and delivery of marketing plans and design assets dealing with third parties to agreed deadlines and budgets following Mountbatten purchasing procedures e.g. designers, advertising channels, photographers, internal stakeholders
Support development of digital marketing plans to maximise income and engagement preparing content, sourcing images, scheduling posts/blogs and reviewing impact
Support all aspects of the planning and coordination of community fundraising alongside other team members i.e. sourcing and managing venues, technical equipment, third party suppliers, catering, First Aid, etc.
Maintain stock of supplies and equipment used for events and be responsible for purchasing and organising supplies/equipment required for each event
Assist in preparing risk assessments and manage controls in place to maintain safety of participants, staff and volunteers and protect the organisation
Co-ordinate recruitment initiatives to maximise the number of volunteers for each event
Undertake prospect research to identify potential and appropriate SME's (Small-Medium Enterprises) to engage with
Coordinate the Yellow Collection Boxes and ensure regular engagement with the volunteers who facilitate these activities within the community
Support relationship management of existing community groups and 3rd Party Supporters
Thank donors, sponsors and volunteer groups through database and maintain accurate records of communications
Support processes that ensure participants in community events are supported, motivated and nurtured.
Supervising fundraising office and event volunteers (individual and groups) to help ensure that volunteers are recruited, trained, motivated, developed, utilised and thanked effectively and appropriately.
Work alongside administrators to ensure the processing of fundraising data is accurate and that the fundraising database records for all event participants, sponsors, donors, volunteer groups and individual volunteers is accurate for analysis, financial reporting and strategic donor management
Preparation and administration of event related documents, files, supplier contracts and service level agreements.
Ensuring general correspondence and enquiries about events are dealt with in a timely and effective manner while supporting general daily enquiries in the office to include patients, staff and donors
Supporting the fundraising team with administrative and general tasks, as required.
Attending and supervising elements of events (on and off-site), as required
Driver with own vehicle preferred, but not essential.
