Newport City Council is looking to recruit Community Learning Tutors to join our team delivering high quality education opportunities.
We are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced tutors with a PGCE; Cert Ed; CELTA or relevant teaching qualification. We are particularly interested in recruiting tutors with an Internal Quality Assurance qualification.
The service is continually developing the new programme offer and there will be further opportunities to tutors who are able to work flexibly across our subject range.
The posts are offered on a casual basis throughout the academic year.
For an informal discussion about the posts, please contact Sharon Reader, Deputy Team Manager Community Regeneration at sharon.reader@newport.gov.uk
This post is exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a staisfactory Criminal Records Bureau (DBS) Check.
We welcome applications for all our jobs in either Welsh or English. An application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
Newport City Council is committed to working towards its workforce being more representative of the population that we serve and particularly welcomes applications from people from minority ethnic communities represented (or living) in the city. Selection will be made on ability and skills to undertake the role.
Newport City Council is not currently supporting applicants with sponsorship for right to work. In applying for a vacancy, applicants should already have the right to work in the UK.
