We are looking for a Community Leisure Assistant to join our staff team at Stoke Damerel Community College and Scott Medical and Healthcare College Campus.

The Community Leisure Assistant will provide exceptional customer service across all work streams, including but not limited to front desk/reception, booking preparations, all forms of communication with customers, partners, colleagues and cafe service.

Main responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service across all work streams, including but not limited to front desk/reception, booking preparations, all forms of communication with customers, partners, and colleagues, and cafe service.
Follow all SOPs to ensure a level of consistency across the team.
Welcome visitors to the site, providing relevant information and cultivating a warm environment for all.
Be responsible on shift for handling booking requests, customer queries, general emails and any phone calls by either resolving the matter or signposting to the correct point of contact.
Ensure the smooth operation of the facility by managing booking changeovers, access requirements, and equipment setup.
Provide support whilst on shift with marketing, primarily through the use of our social media channels.
Use direct communication methods to upsell our offering to site visitors.
Be willing to run or support with the delivery of holiday clubs, after school clubs, and community sessions in a variety of sports and activities.
Be responsible for securing the facilities in use at the end of the day to leave the site safe and ready for the following day.
Report any defects to the site team through prescribed methods.
Ensure the site and facilities are safe for use, e.g. facilities are clean and free of hazards, toilets are clean and available for use, equipment is in good working order, grass pitches are checked for holes and repaired etc.
Act as designated member of staff for out of hours incidents in the absence of a manager or supervisor. This may include health and safety, fire safety, first aid, and site security.
To work flexibly within the dedicated hours of opening as directed by the Community Leisure Manager, this may include varied days of work, earlier finishes, and later finishes.
Undertake additional duties as commensurate with the grading of the role.
You will need:
Strong academic record, including English and Maths at Grade C, 4/5 or equivalent
Relevant knowledge of first aid and health and safety procedures.
Knowledge of the sports and leisure industry
Experience of working in a similar role in the sports and health sector is desirable
