Job overview




We are seeking 2 dedicated and experienced Matrons to join our Community Teams based in the West Suffolk locality.



The first is overseeing our Children and Young People teams serving the local populations of Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket. In this pivotal role, you will: Provide expert clinical leadership across Children and Family, Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Youth Services and in the future Children's Crisis Services.



The Second is overseeing the Specialist Suffolk Wide Neurodevelopmental services providing expert clinical leadership across Children and Adult ADHD services, Wellbeing, Autism Diagnostic Services and & MH in Schools.

You will ensure the highest standards of care within community settings, supporting individuals in their own homes and local environments. Drive service improvements, champion patient safety, and enhance care pathways. Lead, develop, and inspire multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, person-centred care. As a key figure in our community services, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of mental health support for the people of West Suffolk. Main duties of the job




As Matron, you will work closely with the locality leadership team to ensure that high quality care is delivered within your services and will provide professional leadership to the nursing workforce. You will promote a culture of learning and openness and ensure clinical staff have the knowledge, capability, systems and support to deliver evidence-based care and embed lessons learned in practice for the improvement of patient experience. We are looking to appoint individuals who have a passion for their work and a track record of achievement in influencing colleagues and partners to deliver high quality care. We want inspirational and compassionate leaders who will develop their teams to provide outstanding care.
