About the Role
We are looking for a caring and reliable
Charge Community Nurse
to join our
Community Night Nursing Service
.
In this advanced clinical role, you'll provide
expert oversight, leadership, and mentorship
to our clinical team while delivering compassionate, patient-centred care directly in the community. You will play a key role in ensuring service safety, mitigating risks, and upholding clinical quality in line with PHL's governance framework.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and resilient leader who thrives in challenging and autonomous settings and who is passionate about improving outcomes for patients.
You will also use a company vehicle to travel between visits, ensuring safe and efficient transport across Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities
Provide effective leadership, management, and support to the Night Nursing Service team.
Deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate nursing care in patients' homes.
Oversee clinical governance, including audits, risk management, incident reporting, and compliance.
Mentor, supervise, and inspire clinicians to reach professional excellence.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, GPs, secondary care, and wider healthcare partners.
Promote patient safety, health education, and person-centred care.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Registered with
NMC / HCPC
.
Minimum
5 years post-qualified experience
in healthcare.
At least
2 years in a supervisory/management role
.
Competence in community-based care, including palliative care, catheter care, wound care, and telephone triage.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and governance experience.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Leadership training (Edward Jenner, Mary Seacole or Rosalind Franklin programmes) or willingness to undertake.
Experience in clinical audits, complaints investigations, and quality improvement.
