The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to supporting older people, including those with complex care needs.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, implement, and monitor residents' care plans to ensure all needs are met in line with quality standards and regulations
Deliver clinical care, including medication administration, treatments, wound care, and palliative support
Supervise and support care staff in providing safe, person-centred care
Monitor residents' health and promptly escalate concerns to the Home Manager or multidisciplinary team
Conduct risk and quality assessments to maintain compliance with regulatory and organisational standards
Participate in recruitment, supervision, and professional development of care staff to build a skilled and motivated team
Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant records in line with policies and legislation
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals, ensuring any issues are addressed and resolved appropriately
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive care environment that promotes residents' independence and well-being
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (Part 1 NMC Pin required)
Proven experience in a clinical role, preferably within residential or elderly care
Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
Excellent communication, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and night shifts
If English is not the first language, successful completion of IELTS (7.0 in all four areas)
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience supervising or mentoring care staff
NVQ Assessor (D32/D33) qualification
Familiarity with electronic care systems and data interpretation
Knowledge and experience in dementia care or other specialist elderly care areas
