Staff Nurses work as part of a team providing high quality and compassionate care to individuals. The Staff Nurse is an autonomous practitioner who is responsible for the holistic assessment of both complex and simple care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care and delegation of care where appropriate to other members of the team. They will support the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high quality care to enable individuals to achieve their person-centred goals.
We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include evenings and weekends. We have full time and part time hours available.
You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

o provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whist reflecting the philosophy of care.
To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.
Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient- centred, evidence based nursing care
