About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate

Community Nurse

to join our agency team. You will provide high-quality nursing care to adults within their own homes, supporting individuals with a range of clinical needs while promoting dignity, independence, and person-centred care. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective nursing care to adults in their home environment. Conduct thorough assessments and implement appropriate care plans. Provide clinical interventions with competence and confidence, ensuring all care is delivered in line with best practice and professional standards. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers to ensure continuity of care. Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with local policies. Promote patient wellbeing, independence, and positive health outcomes.

Essential Clinical Skills

Candidates

must

be competent and experienced in the following:

Catheterisation

Urethral (Male & Female) Suprapubic Blocked urethral catheter management Blocked suprapubic catheter management

Insulin administration

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM)

Compression bandaging

(including graduated compression systems)

Pleurex / Rocket drain management

Phlebotomy

(venepuncture)

Syringe driver set-up

(including monitoring and troubleshooting)

Verification of Expected Death (VoED)

Wound care

(acute, chronic, pressure injuries, postoperative care)

Safeguarding awareness for adults at home

Requirements

Registered Nurse (NMC Pin - Adult). Recent community nursing experience preferred. Strong clinical decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively. Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain). Up-to-date mandatory training and competency evidence.
Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 24.00-38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 - 37.5 per week
