Kyle Square Pharmacy is a vibrant community pharmacy, based at the heart of the community in Spittal for over 15 years, providing NHS Pharmacy and private pharmacy services.

Summary

We are seeking to recruit a new team member to work with our VBM dispensing robot that produces Monitored Dosage Systems (also known as dosettes or compliance aids). In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our pharmacy operations and enhancing patient care, using cutting-edge automated dispensing technology.

Responsibilities

Assisting the pharmacy team in provision of dispensing medications in dosette trays by operating and maintaining automated systems, such as an Omnicell VBM robot. Following standard operating procedures, managing robot with stock control and date checking, maintaining a clean environment. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Uphold pharmacy standards and regulations for safety and compliance.

Qualifications/Experience

Previous experience or qualifications as a pharmacy assistant is highly desirable but not necessary, full training is available in post. Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures is desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective colleague and patient interaction is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to plan own workload and manage tasks with set time frames. Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is desirable. Willingness to develop your role in the team.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
